Hornets to interview David Fizdale and Ettore Messina

The Hornets broke Steve Clifford off on April 13 after compiling a 196-214 record in five seasons , including a disappointing 36-46 each of the past two years. Stephen Curry to return to “modified team practices”

According to a release from the Golden State Warriors the team’s medical staff re-evaluated Stephen Curry and based on that examination, Curry was cleared to commence participation in what has been termed “modified team practices” as early as Saturday. The Warriors will gauge how Curry responds to increasing his rehabilitation’s intensity before rendering any further decisions on his status moving forward. Hawks HC Budenholzer withdraws from consideration from Suns opening

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Atlanta Hawks’ head coach Mike Budenholzer has removed his name from consideration from the same position with the Phoenix Suns. Budenholzer met with Phoenix Monday and Tuesday and was expected to make a decision this week. With Budenholzer off the table, Phoenix is looking at interim coach Jay Triano, Kevin McHale, David Fizdale, Steve Clifford and Frank Vogel to fill their opening.

It was announced earlier today that Villanova redshirt sophomore guard Dante DiVincenzo will enter the NBA draft, however he will not hire an agent leaving open a return to school.
