Golden State acquires D’Angelo Rusell

Golden State has not been mentioned amongst the teams at the forefront of free agency but It seems that Golden State is not just going to stand pat and let this offseason pass them by. They decided to go out and acquire D’Angelo Russell. As just reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Warriors and Nets have agreed on a sign-and-trade for the first time All-Star guard. Goran Dragic not involved in Butler deal

In the sign and trade that sent Jimmy Butler to the Miami Heat in exchange for Josh Richardson , it was previously reported that point guard Goran Dragic was going to Dallas, but apparently that will not be the case. The New York Times’ Marc Stein reported that forwards Derrick Jones and Kelly Olynyck were the heat players that ended getting sent to Dallas. Jimmy Butler joins heat in sign-and-trade

The Miami Heat have acquired Jimmy Butler via a sign-and-trade with the Philadelphia 76ers , per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania reported that the Heat sent the 76ers Josh Richardson in the deal. Goran Dragic was sent to Dallas as part the deal as well. Jonas Valanciunas expected to re-up with Memphis

According to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, center Jonas Valanciunas is expected to agree to a three year, $45 million deal. Valanciunas opted out of a player option worth $17.6 million dollar, which would allow him to become a unrestricted free agent and negotiate a longer term deal with the Grizzlies. After being acquired from the Raptors in the Marc Gasol deal, Valanciunas posted averages of 19.9 points and 10.7 rebounds, which is a noticeable increase from his career production of 11.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

The Houston Rockets plan on meeting with free agent center JaVale McGee when free agency begins Sunday at 6 p.m according to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes.
