Spurs buyout Gasol

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the San Antonio Spurs and center Pau Gasol have agreed on a buyout. Gasol is eligible for the playoffs for his next team. Injuries have limited the former All-Star to just 27 games this year,and only 6 starts. Gasol is averaging just 4.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in only 12.2 minutes per game. If healthy, he can be beneficial to a playoff team with his scoring and passing ability.

ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported that Houston Rockets center Clint Capela has returned and, barring any setbacks, will play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. Joel Embiid will miss one week with knee injury

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will not be on the court when the team returns to post All-Star action Thursday against the Miami Heat. According to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, the team announced that Embiid experienced soreness in his left knee that led to him getting an MRI, which fortunately revealed no structural damage.
