Knicks move up to No.23 with trade with Jazz

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the New York Knicks and Utah Jazz have engaged in deal that will move the Knicks up in Wednesday’s NBA Draft. The Knicks are sending their No. 27 and No. 38 picks to the Jazz in exchange for the No. 23 picks. As icing on the cake, Utah is sending over the the draft rights to 2008 second-round pick Ante Tomic, 33, who is not expected to come to the NBA. The Knicks now have the No.8 and No. 23 selections.

Utah Jazz to be sold to tech entrepreneur Ryan Smith

from the AP: SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The majority interest of the Utah Jazz is being sold to technology entrepreneur Ryan Smith, a move that when formally approved by the NBA will end the Miller family’s 35-year run as owners of the franchise. Jazz’s Gobert, Mitchell, others health cleared

Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell along with the rest of Utah Jazz players and personnel have been given a clean bill of health by the state’s Health Department, according to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps. Gobert was the first NBA player to test positive for COVID-19 and ridiculously and wrongly draw the ire of players, fans and even some media ( because apparently he purposely contracted the virus as part of some insidious plan to end the NBA season).
