Bucks send Khris Middleton to Wizards for Kyle Kuzma

The Milwaukee Bucks have traded Khris Middleton to the Washington Wizards for Kyle Kuzma.  As part of the deal, guard AJ Johnson and a draft pick are also heading to the nation’s capital, while forward Patrick Baldwin Jr and a second-round pick. Middleton, along with Giannis Antetokounmpo, was the longest-tenured Milwaukee Buck joined the team as an under-the-radar addition in the trade that sent Brandon Jennings to Detroit for Brandon Knight. Monmouth’s Madison Durr earns Oscar Robinson National Player of the Week honors

CAA hands down suspension to Drexel’s Yame Butler

From the CAA: Commissioner Joe D’Antonio has issued a suspension to Drexel men’s basketball student-athlete Yame Butler for a violation of the conference’s sportsmanship policy. Butler committed a violation of the conference’s sportsmanship policy during the second half of the Dragons’ game against Northeastern on January 23. Butler will sit out the first half of Drexel’s game against Delaware on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 25).

Jimmy Butler saga follows a script fans don’t like

The roller coaster that has become the relationship between the Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler has yet another twist as the mercurial star reportedly reiterated his desire to be traded in a meeting with Heat president Pat Riley last week, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.  Butler also informed Riley that he has no plans to sign a new deal with the team, but will pick up his $52.6 million player option for next season only as a means to the trade out of Miami he ultimately desires. Miami suspends Jimmy Butler, will now entertain trade offers

The Miami Heat announced Friday they have suspended the six-time All-Star for “multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team” over the course of the season, a day after he held a surreal news conference in which he loudly signaled he wants to be traded.
