Knute Wood’s late-game heroics lift Tennessee State past UT Martin 81-80

Knute Wood canned a three-pointer with 15 ticks left in overtime to propel Tennessee State to an 81-80 win over UT Martin Tuesday night. After Ronald Jessamy’s layup tied the game at 10, TSU was to show the way before Vladimir Salaridze’s layup knotted the game back at 16. Tennessee State defeats UT Martin 77-61 to end 10-game skid

On the strength of their best shooting night of the season, the Tennessee State Lady Tigers defeated the Skyhawks of UT Martin 77-61 to end their 10-game losing streak but also notched their first OVC win of the season.  The first quarter was largely a back-and-forth affair that featured 9 lead changes and 5 ties. Norfolk State’s Diamond Johnson named World Exposure Report Player of the Week

The list of accolades for Norfolk State’s Diamond Johnson continues to grow longer. The graduate guard was named the World Exposure Report Player of the Week.  Johnson helped the Lady Spartans to a 2-0 week, recording 24 points, 8 steals, 7 rebounds, and 5 rebounds in their 77-69 win over Morgan State. In Norfolk State’s 124-51 obliteration of Virginia-Lynchburg Johnson scored 16 points, 6 rebounds, assists, and 3 steals in just 26 minutes, her shortest workday on the hardwood this season.  Johnson leads the MEAC in scoring, averaging 18.6 points…
