CIAA and AspireTV unveil 2021 football broadcast schedule

Tuesday the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA ) announced its broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2021 football season. The games for this season will be televised on AspireTV, continuing the sixth year of a partnership between the conference and the network.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership this year with AspireTV to broadcast five football games throughout the season. It’s an exciting opportunity to increase exposure for our institutions, coaches, and student-athletes while highlighting the passion and pageantry of our fans and alumni across the country and celebrating the rich history and tradition of this storied conference,”

The five televised games will showcase seven of of the twelve conference teams across four CIAA games and the conference title game that will be played November 13 in Salem, VA.

The CIAA broadcast schedule will kick-off on Saturday, October 16 in Bowie, MD with a CIAA Northern Division battle between Bowie State and Virginia State. The Trojans will help conclude the regular season television schedule as they travel to take on long-time in-state and conference rival Virginia Union on November 6 in Richmond, VA. Local listings of each game’s broadcast will be available at a later time.

October 16                        Virginia State at Bowie State – Bowie State – 1 p.m.  

October 23                       Livingstone at Winston-Salem State – Winston Salem, NC – 1 p.m.

October 30                       Saint Augustine’s at Johnson C. Smith – Charlotte, NC – 1 p.m.

November 6                     Virginia State at Virginia Union – Richmond, VA – 1 p.m.

November 13                   CIAA Football Championship – Salem, VA – 1 p.m.
