Anadolu Efes faced a tough test at the start of the season in the Turkish League but managed to prevail after overtime

Despite a 24-8 start to the game, Anadolu Efeshad a lot of ups and downs and Yukatel Merkezefendi Denizli Basket used the chance to fight for the win. However, the reigning champions managed to come out on top just barely with 94-93 after overtime.
Vasilije Micic and Bryant Dunston stood out with 22 points, while Adrien Moerman had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Petrusev had 13 points and Shane Larkin finished the game with 10 points.
On the opposing side, Adam Smith was the top scorer of the game with 29 points while Rihards Lomazs scored 22. Davonte Upson had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Smith was also the one to send the game into overtime with a tough three-pointer with six seconds remaining.
Efes had a slight upper hand throughout the overtime and defense, although it proved troublesome beforehand, was the key in grabbing the win as the final score was set 17 seconds before the end with Denizli Basket having a shot at an upset
