Fenerbahce Beko signed forward Metecan Birsen to a two-plus-one contract, the Turkish powerhouse announced. Birsen, who spent the last two seasons with Pinar Karsiyaka, had began his basketball journey with Fener’s youth teams.
In 2020-21, Birsen averaged 6.1 points and 5.5 rebounds in the Basketball Champions League while Pinar Karsiyaka made the championship game in the Nizhny Final Eight. He also had 8.7 points and 5.1 rebounds in the Turkish League to help his team reach the semifinals.
