Jackson State’s Jason Brown named BOXTOROW HBCU National Player of the Week

Jackson State QB Jason Brown was named BOXTOROW HBCU National Player of the Week. The Virginia Tech graduate transfer completed 26-30 passes for 365 yards and 3 touchdowns, with no interceptions, in the Tigers 37-7 steamrolling of South Carolina State in the Cricket MEAC-SWAC Challenge.

Brown looked sharp, completing passes to eight different receivers and at one point connected on 22 straight pass attempts and guded the JSU offense to six consecutive scoring possessions.

Up next for Jackson State is trip to Miami Gardens, FL for a showdown with the Rattlers of Florida A&M in the Orange Blossom Classic, Sunday September 3 at 3pm EST. The game will air on ESPN.
