Breaking: Jamal Murray signs 4-year, $208 million extension

Via James Herbert, CBS Sports Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets have agreed to a four-year, $208 million contract extension, his agents, Jeff Schwartz and Mike George, told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday. This is the richest extension the Nuggets could offer Murray. It will kick in during the 2025-26 season and keep him under contract through 2028-29. Murray, 27, has spent his entire career with the Nuggets since they drafted him No. 7 overall in 2016. Last season, he averaged 21.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists in 59 regular-season games.

Before and during the gold medal match against France, LeBron James broke out two never-before-seen colorways of his new LeBron XXII sneaker.  In warm-ups before the game, James was seen in an all-iridescent pair paired with black at the inner, tongue, rear heel signature, and lateral side Swoosh outline.  The midsole, and its corresponding branding, also share the same visual feature. LeBron James agrees to 2-year, $104 million with Lakers

It seems that Kendrick Perkins was proven right as James didn’t take a pay cut, agreeing to a 2-year deal worth $104 million. The deal allows James to continue to seize the Lakers on the base of their snarglies, as it includes both a player option and a no-trade clause.  James, 39, opted out of the last year of his previous deal that would have paid him $51,415,938. Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum gave us a glimpse at a non-retail iteration of his Tatum 2 silhouette.  The pink-based colorway sports a light pink synthetic and textile upper with an iridescent tongue. Light blue pods are present on the lateral and medial sides, themselves surrounded by hot pink overlays. Jason Tatum recently took the court in this collaborative PE his Tatum 2 sneaker. Birthed in conjunction with Portland, OR based sneaker themed coffee shop, Deadstock Coffee, it sports a white leather upper with mocha colored elephant print at the toe and the heel, seemingly as a nod to the Air Jordan 3. The continuation of the signature line of Boston Celtics star player Jayson Tatum is the Jordan Tatum 2. In a recent game, the sneaker’s namesake sported an exclusive colorway of the new silhouette. Black speckles are spread across the canvas of the volt and green upper.
