Ja Morant to miss remainder of season with torn labrum

The Memphis Grizzlies played the first 25 game without superstar guard Ja Morant and they will have to reaclimate themselves for life sans Morant for the remaining 46 contests. The high-flying guard will miss the rest of the season after he will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum, according to an announcement from the Grizzlies Monday. In a recent game, Jalen Brown took the court wearing a commemorative pair of “Reverse Grinch” Kobe VI Protro. For the third time this season, Tennessee State freshman guard Jaylen Jones was named OVC Freshman of the Week. Although the Tigers tasted defeat in their matchup against the Sycamores of Indiana State, Jones led the team with 16 points, while also adding 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and a steal.
