Holystic Sneaker Laundry offers their clientele sneaker restoration services’ send them in after an otc consultation and they make them look like new.
In an article by the playbook, customer Benedict Yeo’s experience with the business did not go well. Yeo took his Nice Kicks x adidas NMDs, a shoe whose rarity pushes its value into the thousands of dollars, to Sneaker Laundry for a round of cleaning and restoration services; this turned into a 23-day ordeal, more than double Holystic’s advertised 7-10 day turnaround time.
Upon recieving his shoes, he noticed obvious discoloration of the pull tab. Displeased, he ordered (and paid for) another round of restoration to rectify it. When he received his shoes this time, a marker had been used in an attempt to cover the previous foul up.
In a post on his Facebook, Yeo posted the c0ntract Holystic customers must sign before using the company’s services. One line reads: ” in no event, will Holystic Sneaker Laundry be held liable for any consequential…loss or damages whether or not Holystic knew and should have known of the likelihood of any loss or damage”
Yeo was not alone in his experience. The Playbook spoke to other past customers and here is what some of them had to say:
Holystic responded to the Vulcan Post with this:
Holystic Sneaker Laundry then posted they had come to an agreement with Mr. Yeo to get him a new pair of “Adidas Nice Kicks”.
The power of social media gets justice for a customer wronged by a business.
