Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers” One of the Internet Idiots gets sentenced to prison

Way back in November 2020 we reported on the arrest of then 17-year-old Dwayne Quamir Johnson, who along with an accomplice, robbed the owner of Upper Echelon on October 20, 2020, as indicated in court records.

The victim told law enforcement he made arrangements to meet with the two males to purchase two pairs of Air Jordans. At the meeting, rather than pull out a medium of exchange, one of the males pulled out a gun and demanded the kicks. The victim told police he was struck in head with a firearm during a subsequent struggle over the shoes.

After obtaining their ill-gotten kicks, the two males took to Instagram to show off the haul, actually wearing the sneakers they had just stolen.

As we reported in an update on this incident, in March Johnson was was charged as an adult and pled guilty to charges of robbery and carrying a firearm without a license.

Last Monday Luzerne County President Judge Michael T. Vough sentenced Johnson to 4-10 years in state prison. Johnson will be credited with the 550 days he has already served at the county correctional facility.
