It was a tough day on the diamond for Albany State baseball, as they took a 13-3 donkey-kicking from the Warhawks of Auburn University Wednesday night at the AUM Baseball Complex in Montgomery, Alabama. The Golden Rams found themselves in a 6-0 hole after just one inning of play in a frame that saw them give up the first run of the game before the Warhawks got their first hit of the night, as four of the first AUM batters reached base via walks. The Albany State baseball team (1-2) will open conference play against the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University (1-5) in a three-game set on February 18-19 at the ASU West Campus. Saturday will feature a doubleheader, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:00 PM EST, The two schools last met March 27, 2022 with Albany State claiming a 20-12 victory.
