As Hurricane Florence tracks toward the East Coast, it has progressed from a Category 1 storm( 90 mph winds) to a Category 4 ( 130 mph winds )in a span of just thirteen hours. Benedict jumped on Johnson C. Smith early and never let the Golden Bulls into the game, scoring three quick touchdowns en route to a 42-14 victory this Saturday. Clark-Atlanta rallied from 13 down to defeat Claflin and earn a spot Saturday’s SIAC championship game. Despite their All-Conference and All-American forward Brandon Morris picking up two early fouls, Benedict was able to build a ten-point halftime lead off the strength of blistering shoot from behind the arc.
