Tennessee State hits the road to take on Kennesaw State

Tennessee State’s Monroe Beard named Big South-OVC Co-Defensive Player of the Week

Tennessee State linebacker Monroe Beard was named Big South-OVC Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Beard, a junior out of Chattaanooga, Tennessee, set the TSU single-gmae record for tackles, with 19 in the Tigers, 20-10 loss at UT Martin on Saturday. Norfolk State kicker Noah Tracey named MEAC Rookie of the Week

AD/Communications, Norfolk State Athletics Norfolk State University freshman kicker Noah Tracey was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.  Tracey, a native of Springwood, Australia, punted the ball five times on Saturday against Temple for 194 yards, with one punt inside the 20-yard line. Tennessee State was able to get their second win of the season with a dramatic, come from behind-from-behind 27-25 win over 2022 Big South champion Gardner Webb in the 25th John A.
