Norfolk State’s Diamond Johnson named World Exposure Report Player of the Week

The list of accolades for Norfolk State’s Diamond Johnson continues to grow longer. The graduate guard was named the World Exposure Report Player of the Week.  Johnson helped the Lady Spartans to a 2-0 week, recording 24 points, 8 steals, 7 rebounds, and 5 rebounds in their 77-69 win over Morgan State. According to reporting from Mike Organ of The Tennessean, Tennessee State head coach Eddie George will interview with the Chicago Bears for their head coach vacancy.  Coaching in Chicago would not be unfamiliar territory for the NFL great. In 2023 Coach George was a transitory member of the Bears coaching staff as part of the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship.  George has helmed the Tennessee State program for four seasons.
