Patrick Beverley out tomorrow against Minnesota

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Patrick Beverley will miss the team’s game tomorrow against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a concussion. He suffered the injury after taking an inadvertent elbow to the head running into a Marc Gasol screen in the third quarter of their last game against the Toronto Raptors. Beverley has started 24 games for the Clippers this season and posted numbers of 7.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 29.5 minutes per contest. Orlando Magic forward Al-Farooq Aminu has torn the meniscus in his right knee. It is being determined if he can be treated without going under the knife. Recovery times can range from four to eight weeks.

Ja Morant “week to week”

Memphis Grizzlies rookie sensation Ja Morant is off to a tremendous start in his maiden NBAvoyage. In his first games, the number two overall selection has averaged 18.6 points, 6.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game. Saturday the Grizzlies gave an update on Morant’s medical status: He’s being termed “week-to-week” with an aggravated back ( could have happened on that spill he took into the cameras against the Pacers) and will need a “period of short-term off-loading , whatever that is.

According to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania, the Philadelphia 76ers will be without g/f Josh Richardson against the San Antonio Spurs Friday night. This will be the second consecutive game with a hip flexor injury. His status for Saturday’s game against Miami, which would be his first time facing the Heat since he was traded, will be a game-time decision.

John Wall dunking in workout

John Wall will more than likely not suit up for the Washington Wizards this season as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles’ tendon. The recovery seems to be progressing fairly well , as Wall threw down a dunk in a pregame workout in Boston. Hopefully this is a sign that Wall will be able to return close to form, but continued stretches of good health have been hard to come by for Wall over the last 2 seasons, he has played in only 73 games.

Raptors Anunoby to miss Blazers game with eye contusion

The Toronto Raptors announced small OG Anunoby will miss the team’s Wednesday game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Anunoby suffered an eye contusion in the team’s last game against the Los Angeles Clippers when former teammates Kawhi Leonard inadvertently poked him in the eye whilst the two were jockeying for position. Anunoby saw an eye specialist in Los Angeles but no timetable has been given for his return. Through the 10 games, Anunoby is averaging 11.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists and 30 minutes per game.

Gordon Hayward will be out six weeks after hand surgery

Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward left the team’s game against the San Antonio Spurs with an injured left hand after colliding with LaMarcus Aldridge. Hayward met with doctors and it was determined that surgery would be the best course of action. The Celtics announced a few hours later that Hayward underwent successful surgery and he would be out for six weeks. Caris LeVert to miss Jazz game with sprained thumb

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Caris LeVert will miss the team’s Tuesday night game against the Utah Jazz with a sprained thumb, as reported by the New York Post’s Brian Lewis. Apparently LeVert hurt the thumb after taking a fall against the Phoenix Suns. It has only been nine games but LeVert has seen career-highs in points (16.9) , rebounds (5.0) and minutes (31.6).
