The Boston Celtics announced that forward Jaylen Brown will miss their Tuesday night game against the Charlotte Hornets with an illness. The Celtics will also be down two centers as Vincent Poirier will be out with a fracture of his right pinkie, while Robert Williams suffered a left hip bone edema.

Giannis and Eric Bledsoe available tonight against Bulls
Matt Velazquez of the Journal Sentinel reports news Milwaukee Bucks fans will undoubtedly be glad to hear; Giannis Antetokounmpo and Eric Gordon are both available for the team’s Monday night game against the Chicago Bulls. Antetokounmpo had missed the last two games with back soreness, while Bledsoe had been out with a right fibula avulsion fracture.

According to Orlando.com’s John Denton, the Milwaukee Bucks will be without all-world forward Giannis Antetokounmpo for their game against the Orlando Magic Saturday night. This will be the second straight game that the Greek Freak has missed due to the back issue. Antetokounmpo is firmly in MVP talks as he is averaging 30.5 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.7 assists this season and has led the Bucks to a 28-5 record.

According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Capela has been downgraded from doubtful to out against the Nets. Apparently the downgrade is due to a heel contusion the big man has been dealing with. This season Capela is averaging 13.9 points and 14.4 rebounds per game.

Carmelo Anthony will not be available for the Trail Blazers’ game against the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night. Melo suffered a knee contusion in the first half of the team’s game Friday night against the Orlando Magic that kept him out of the second half. Since being signed by the Blazers earlier this season, Anthony, for the most part, has played pretty good basketball, averaging 16.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.

Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward will miss the team’s Friday night game against the Detroit Pistons. Hayward had been scratched from the Celtics’ game versus the Mavericks on Wednesday. Head coach Brad Stevens said Hayward has been dealing with pain in his left foot for a few weeks. John Karalis of MassLive.com reports that Hayward underwent an MRI and no structural damage was found.

Toronto Raptors center Marc Gasol will be sidelined a few weeks with a hamstring injury, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Gasol left Wednesday’s game against the Toronto Raptors with a left hamstring strain after just eight minutes on the floor. Though he is averaging just 6.6 points ( a career low) , 6.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks, Gasol has started all 27 games he has appeared in and that due to the defensive prowess he still has, even at 34 years old.
