The Hornets broke Steve Clifford off on April 13 after compiling a 196-214 record in five seasons , including a disappointing 36-46 each of the past two years. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Charlotte Hornets will interview David Fizdale and Ettore Messina “in the coming days.” Fizdale was fired by the Memphis Grizzlies in November and has been mentioned as a possible candidate for nearly every team with a coaching opening this season. Stephen Curry to return to “modified team practices”

According to a release from the Golden State Warriors the team’s medical staff re-evaluated Stephen Curry and based on that examination, Curry was cleared to commence participation in what has been termed “modified team practices” as early as Saturday. The Warriors will gauge how Curry responds to increasing his rehabilitation’s intensity before rendering any further decisions on his status moving forward.
