NBA Finals Game 1: Our Take

Game 1 of the highly anticipated matchup between the Warriors and the Cavaliers is in the books. The Warriors smacked the Cavaliers 104-89.  While the vaunted Golden State backcourt was relatively quiet, going a combined 8-27 for 20 points, 11 from Curry and 9 from Thompson, was their bench that came up big scoring 45 points. Lebron Breaks out Rare Zoom Generation at Finals Practice

Today at Finals practice  Lebron went into the way back machine and broke out a pair of Zoom Generations. That in and of itself would be enough to draw the attention of sneaker enthusiast, but these were not the run of mill vintage Generations, rather one of the rarest versions of the shoe, the ROY PE.  This special makeup done by Nike to commemorate Lebron’s 2003-04 Rookie-of-the-year campaign, features an all-white upper; the “LBJ23” logo has been turned to read “ROY 0304”. Pelicans’ Guard Bryce Dejean-Jones succumbs to gunshot wound

Dallas police announce New Orleans Pelicans guard was fatally shot after kicking in a door to an apartment. In a statement, Sr Cpl DeMarquis Black said officers were called early Saturday morning and found Jones collapsed in an outdoor passageway’ the 23-year old ball player was taken to a hospital, where he died. Cpl. Black also stated a person living at the apartment was asleep when he heard his door kicked open. Lakers Hire Walton as Head Coach

            Although they were questioned and criticized for the timing of breaking off former head man Byron Scott because of the recent hiring of highly prized coaches such as Scotty Brooks and Tom Thibadeau, the Los Angeles Lakers announced earlier today the team had reached an agreement with Warriors’ Assistant Luke Walton to become their head coach. After being on the receiving end of two beat downs from the world champion Golden State Warriors, not people thinking the Rockets can even be competitive with the Warriors, much less win a game. Well, it appears the graphics department at TNT feels that way.
