“CHBL” Nike Kobe IV Protro: Official Images

This Kobe IV was made in homage to the Chinese High School Basketball League. They sport yellow upper that fades to a lighter shade of the hue toward the collar and wrapping the heel. An initial look at the 2025 “Steel” Air Jordan X

The “Steel” Air Jordan X is set to make its return as part of a star studded sneaker lineup this year. Initial images have emerged of this returning classic and they look pretty good.  They sport a white leather upper underlaid with black, tumbled leather at the eye rows and the collar. “81 Points” Nike Kobe 1 Protro coming Spring 2026

Last seen in 2019, the “81 Points” Nike Kobe 1 Protro is in the works for a 2026 return. As can be gathered from its moniker, this was the colorway on the feet of the Black Mamba when he dropped 81 points on the Toronto Raptors, January 22, 2006.  They sport a white leather upper with black stitching. Vanessa Bryant shows the new color of the Kobe IX Elite

Thursday afternoon on her Instagram account, Vanessa unveiled an as yet not previously seen colorway of the Kobe IX Elite.  Appearing as more of an EXT take on the silhouette, as it is outfitted with a luxurious maroon suede with a supple-looking leather of th same hue wrapping the heel as well as the ankle. The “Year of the Horse” Kobe VIII Protro coming in 2026

Debuting back in 2014 in commemoration of the then Chinese Year of the Horse, this Kobe VIII is set to return in 2026 in Protro form.  At this early juncture, there are no available images, but what we should be presented is a recreation of its 2014 progenitor. This could be the collaboration we didn’t know we needed.  Inspired by Ja Morant’s favorite two flavors of the popular beverage, cherry, and raspberry, this mismatched pair sports turquoise and pink uppers, respectively. Kool-Aid branding in the form of the Kool-Aid Man himself is perched atop the tongues, while his famous “ohhh yeah” catchphrase appears on the rear tongue. The Minnesota Timberwolves did the basketball world a favor when they ousted the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs.  In typical Lebron James fashion, rather than merely take his losses on the chin, as other all-time greats have, he placed the blame on an extenuating factor, with injury being his go to excuse.  News emerged that James reportedly suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee.  Blaming a season-ending flameout on injury has become the standard operating procedure for James dating back…

Birthed by Shannon Sharpe, “Lakers in 5” was an entertaining bit in which he would make his outlandish pro-LeBron/Lakers picks.
