A pair of Golden Rams prepare to compete at D-II Track&Field Championships

Courtesy of Dr. Earnest Brown , Albany State Athletics Two members of the Golden Rams Track & Field team are ready to compete at the 2023 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The championships will be held May 25th-27th inside the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado with Colorado State University, Pueblo serving as host. A total of 754 participants, 377 men and 377 women, will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching a provisional standard established for each event. Nick Hunter, who went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored, led Spring Hill (32-21, 25-7 SIAC) to its third-straight conference title in the 11-2 victory over Savannah State (33-12, 25-7 SIAC). Lane’s Millay Lambert headlines the all-conference team after being selected as the 2023 SIAC Player of the Year and Utility Player of the Year. Albany State baseball sweeps Spring Hill, secures #1 seed in SIAC tourney

Albany State to take on Kentucky State in season’s final home series

This weekend the Albany State baseball team ( 27-8, 24-2 ) will play host to the Throughbreds of Kentucky State (17-17, 15-9) for their final home series of the season. The three game series will start with a doubleheader on Saturday, with the first pitch scheduled for 1 PM EST. The Golden Rams will celebrate Senior Day before the first game of the twin billing.
