Recently we reported on initial images surfacing of the KD 16 and now the man himself, Kevin Durant, has unofficially introduced his latest shoe to the world. In the first two games of the Suns’ opening round playoff series against the Clippers, Durant broke out a mostly black version of his new kicks. This upcoming Air Max 97 has an Ann Arbor feel to it. It sports a white mesh foundational layer, overlaid with a strip of maize and a navy blue rand. Yellow Swooshes adorn the sides and also have a home on the tongue, with “air max” appearing on the maize-stitched rear pull tab.
