The Sun Conference announces its major award winners for the 2024-25 women’s basketball season, as Florida Memorial University took two major awards, including Kamesha Moore who was named 2024-25 SUN Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Year along with her head coach Kevin Herod, who earned conference Coach of the Year honors. Florida Memorial running back Walter Wilbon III was named Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week.  Against Edward Waters in the Big Cat Classic, Wilbon carried the ball 21 times for 170 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Lions’ 31-21 win.  Both his yardage and touchdown tallies are career highs for the senior out of Tampa, Florida.
