Grambling’s Myles Crawley named SWAC Preseason Offensive Player of The Year

Courtesy of Curtis Ford, Grambling Athletics Grambling State University quarterback Myles Crawley was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Preseason Player of the Year, announced by the conference on Tuesday morning. Crawley solidified himself as one of the best up and coming quarterbacks in the SWAC during the 2023 campaign. Crawley threw for 2,303 yards with a 16 touchdowns last season. He was the first Grambling State quarterback to throw for at least 2,000 yards since Devante Kincaid in 2017. Alabama A&M football to have trio of games streamed on SWAC Digital Network

courtesy The Alabama A&M University football team will have three games streamed on the SWAC Digital Network, the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) announced during media day on Tuesday at the Sheraton-Birmingham Hotel.  Alabama A&M will play its first two home games on Sept. 7 and Sept. 14 against Kentucky State and Georgetown (Ky.), respectively. Former three-star defensive back Bralyn Oliver has committed to Florida A&M. Oliver, announcing the latest chapter in his collegiate career in a post to his X account.  He didn’t take part in any games last season for the Orange; Emily Leiker of syracuse.com reports that he was not halfway through the season and entered the transfer portal in December. Monday Grambling football announced that they would take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2025.  The Tigers are headed to The Horseshoe to replace UCONN, who Ohio State is no longer set to face, on Saturday, September 6.  The Buckeyes were scheduled to face the Huskies on September 18, but according to the OSU athletic department, the decision to cancel the game and alter their schedules was a mutual one between Ohio State and UCONN.
