Virginia Tech commit flips to Southern

Marshall Faulk and Southern University made another splash in recruiting when they flipped to Isaiah Pina from Virginia Tech.  Pina , is rated a three-star prospect coming out of South Lake High School, where he recorded 32 receptions for 568 yards and 11 touchdowns. From the SWAC to the SEC: former AAMU lineman signs with Georgia 

Former Alabama A&M offensive lineman TyQuez Richardson has committed to Georgia. The Atlanta native started in all 12 games for the Bulldogs in 2025.  Coming out of Mays High School, the 6-5 330-pound Richardson chose Alabama A&M over Colorado, which had made an offer for his services. Richardson returns to his home state, the Bulldogs as part of the 53rd-ranked transfer class in the nation, according to On3’s 2026 College Football Team Transfer Portal Rankings.

Andrew Body to enter transfer portal 

Alabama State quarterback Andrew Body plans to enter the transfer portal. He announced his intentions Tuesday afternoon via social media, offering thanks and gratitude to the Alabama State fanbase, Coach Eddie Robinson, and other supporters.  In his first year as a Hornet, Body suffered an injury in the Hornets’ season opener against North Carolina Central in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge last season, limiting him to just 1 game.  In 2025 he took part in 8 games, before his season was cut short due to a shoulder injury, completing 113 of 160…
