Florida A&M’s Kendall Bohler named to Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-American Second Team

Florida A&M defensive back has been named to the Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-American Second Team. Last season the redshirt senior recorded 39 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 interception, and 14 pass breakups and received numerous accolades including All-SWAC First Team and Phil Steele All-SWAC First Team. UAPB to add Women’s Golf

UAPB Football named Tom Manley Running Backs Coach, Special Teams Coordinator

Coach Manley joins the Golden Lions staff after spending the last two seasons as the Offensive Coordinator at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.  During his time at Lincoln, Coach Manley engineered an offense that set 11 school records in 2023. Courtesy of Jackson State Athletics The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) released the 2024 Preseason Football Teams on Tuesday morning as part of Media Day activities and Jackson State placed five players on the two teams combined. Evan Henry returns as a First Team selection after earning Second Team honors last season after helping the offense average 161.6 yards per game running 227.7 yards passing. Grambling’s Myles Crawley named SWAC Preseason Offensive Player of The Year

Courtesy of Curtis Ford, Grambling Athletics Grambling State University quarterback Myles Crawley was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Preseason Player of the Year, announced by the conference on Tuesday morning. Crawley solidified himself as one of the best up and coming quarterbacks in the SWAC during the 2023 campaign. Crawley threw for 2,303 yards with a 16 touchdowns last season. He was the first Grambling State quarterback to throw for at least 2,000 yards since Devante Kincaid in 2017. Alabama A&M football to have trio of games streamed on SWAC Digital Network

courtesy The Alabama A&M University football team will have three games streamed on the SWAC Digital Network, the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) announced during media day on Tuesday at the Sheraton-Birmingham Hotel.  Alabama A&M will play its first two home games on Sept. 7 and Sept. 14 against Kentucky State and Georgetown (Ky.), respectively. The daughter of Deion Sanders, Alabama A&M guard Shelomi Sanders, has signed a NIL deal with Dexcom U. Dexcom U is the NIL arm of Dexcom, the company is a “pioneer in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM).
