The men’s basketball game scheduled between Alcorn State and Jackson State slated to be played on Monday, January 3 has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 5. There were three games scheduled for Wednesday’s Southwestern Athletic Conference women’s hoops action , but only one actually got take the court, with the Alabama A&M /Nicholls State and Alcorn State’s matchup with Texas both being cancelled due to the perniciousness of COVID-19. The Florida A&M men’s hoops teams were set to take on the Fighting Illinois of he University of Illinois, but due to COVID-19 issues within the Illini program, the contest was cancelled.
