Shaqir O’Neal, son of basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal is heading to the Highest of Seven Hills.  “Shaqir has played in one of the premier programs in our conference and for a great head coach,” said head coach Patrick Crarey. “He brings versatility, athleticism, and experience to our team. Florida A&M gets commitment from former ACC Player and three-star prospect

Former three-star defensive back Bralyn Oliver has committed to Florida A&M. Oliver, announcing the latest chapter in his collegiate career in a post to his X account.  He didn’t take part in any games last season for the Orange; Emily Leiker of syracuse.com reports that he was not halfway through the season and entered the transfer portal in December. Alabama A&M women’s hoops recipient of sizablele donation

Hakim McClellan out at Mississippi Valley State

According to the Mississippi Valley State athletic director Hakim McClellan is stepping down from his current role to become the Deputy Athletic Director at Jackson State, saying it “was time.” The move to JSU is a return to familiar grounds for McClellan, where he previously worked as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance.  McClellan assumed the role of Athletic Director on June 6, 2022.  In his time as Athletic Director, the field at Rice-Tottem was replaced with FieldTurf and the venue also received a new Jumbotron.
