Jackson State Tennis players earn ITA Academic Team Awards

Courtesy of Jackson State Athletics The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) released the 2024 Preseason Football Teams on Tuesday morning as part of Media Day activities and Jackson State placed five players on the two teams combined. Evan Henry returns as a First Team selection after earning Second Team honors last season after helping the offense average 161.6 yards per game running 227.7 yards passing. Jackson State’s Malone Silver named to NCAA Division I Legislative Committee

Former Jackson State DB Herman Smith transfers to Colorado

Jason Mercier is the latest Jackson State footballer to either enter the transfer portal or declare for the NFL draft. The senior defensive line announced Sunday evening that he will now seek to make his NFL dreams a reality.
