Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Portland man stole over 800 pairs of Nikes from Outlet

A 52-year-old Portland, Oregon man is accused of stealing over $5,000 of sneakers from the Northeast Portland Nike Outlet. Kevin Millage was arrested as a suspects in thefts from the store after detectives reviewed footage from the store’s video surveillance system.  According to court documents, Millage admitted to detectives that he is a drug addict and that he pilfered the shoes in order to sell them to obtain drugs. Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Bridgeport, CT thieves pilfer 3K worth of Nike Shoes

According to Bridgeport, Connecticut police, a duo of burglars stole 10 pair of Air Jordan sneakers valued at $3,000. The thieves also caused more than $6,000 in damage when they broke in the front door with a crowbar.  Cameras caught the two men entering the three-story apartment complex carrying empty bags. On November 11.  They departed a few minutes later with noticible bulges in the same bags.  Police indicate the suspects knew the victim and was aware of the high-prices sneakers were in the apartment. Stupid Things People Do for Sneakers: Man steals 34 pairs of sneakers from JC Penney

In our latest edition of Stupid Things People Do for Sneakers, we submit the case of Travis Pastorius of Utica, NY. The 28 year old was charged with felony 4th degree larceny and  misdemeanor petit larceny after he pilfered 34 pairs of sneakers from a local JC Penney over a two-day period.  Mr. Pastorius was arraigned in New Hartford Town Court and then sent to the Oneida County Jail; he will appear in court at a later date.
