The Ohio Valley Conference announced that Tennessee State sophomore guard Gia Adams was named its Player of the Week.
In two games last week, against Fisk and Kansas City, the Jersey Village product averaged 23.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals in helping the Lady Tigers to a 1-1 record.
This award is nothing new for Adams, as she garnered the honor three times last season.
Up next for Adams and the Tigers is a trip to Chattanooga for a meeting with the Moccasins of UT Chattanooga. Tip off time is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST.
