To kick off 2022 SIAC Media Day the conference announced preseason football honors and Albany State quarterback Dionte Bonneau was tabbed Offensive Player of the Year. In 8 games last season, the redshirt spohmore out of Atlanta threw for 1076 yards, 10 touchdowns and had a QB rating of 109.66 and also ran for another 170 yards in guiding a Golden Rams offense that averaged
Last season Bonneau’s game highs for passing were 278 yards against Shorter College, touchdowns with three scores against Clark-Atlanta, longest pass play of 54 yards, also against Shorter.
In 52 days Bonneau and the Golden Rams kick their season off when they play host to Mississippi College on Septmeber 3.
