Tennessee State’s Sanders Ellis hits the transfer portal (again)

According to Pete Nakos of On3sports, Tennessee State freshman linebacker Sanders Ellis has entered the transfer portal.  This is the second time this offseason season that Ellis has entered the transfer portal. He initially entered the portal In December, shortly after Tennessee State was defeated 41-27 by Montana in the FCS Playoffs.  The Nashville, TN native paid immediate dividends once injuries thrust him into the starting lineup, recording 86 total tackles( 59 solos, 27 assisted), 15.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 2 passes defensed, and 3 fumble recoveries. According to reporting from Pete Thamel of ESPN, Tennessee State head coach Eddie George is being targeted by Bowling Green to fill their head coach vacancy after the departure of head coach Scott Loeffler.
