The Golden Rams of Albany State have broken into national rankings. ASU enters the AFCA Division II Coaches Poll, presented by Hudl at No. 21. Isaiah Knowles named SIAC Offensive Player of the Week

For his gridiron exploits this past week, Albany State quarterback Isaiah Knowles was named SIAC Offensive Player of the Week.  After missing the Golden Rams’ previous three contests while being in concussion protocols, Knowles made his return Saturday in the highly anticipated matchup against Benedict, who was also undefeated in the SIAC.  The Tampa, Florida native quickly made his impact, throwing three first half touchdowns as he helped Albany State jump out to a 24-0 halftime lead on the way to a 31-3 lead to emphatically establishing the Golden Rams’…

Clark Atlanta scores late to get past Fort Valley State, 26-21

A 10-point quarter pushed the Panthers of Clark Atlanta past Fort Valley State, 26-21 in front of a national audience on ESPN2.  After a scoreless first quarter, Fort Valley State struck first when Wildcats quarterback Don Hudson connected with J.T. Pendleton on an 11-yard scoring toss, caping a 14-play, 75-yard drive that made the score 7-0.
