2023 Move-in day for Albany State freshmen and transfers

Courtesy of Dr. Earnest Brown, Albany State Athletics Quinn Gray, Sr., the 14th head football coach at Albany State University, welcomed a plethora of freshmen and transfers to campus for move-in day on Tuesday, August 1. The day started with players checking in and moving into their dorm rooms between 8:00 am – 11:00 am.  At 11:30 am, Coach Gray and his staff held a players and parents meeting.  During the meeting, Dr. Kristene Kelly (Director of Athletics) was introduced.  After lunch, the players participated in several breakout sessions on topics…

A pair of Golden Rams prepare to compete at D-II Track&Field Championships

Courtesy of Dr. Earnest Brown , Albany State Athletics Two members of the Golden Rams Track & Field team are ready to compete at the 2023 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The championships will be held May 25th-27th inside the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado with Colorado State University, Pueblo serving as host. A total of 754 participants, 377 men and 377 women, will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching a provisional standard established for each event. Spring Hill claims third consecutive SIAC Baseball Tournament

Nick Hunter, who went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored, led Spring Hill (32-21, 25-7 SIAC) to its third-straight conference title in the 11-2 victory over Savannah State (33-12, 25-7 SIAC).
