Nike Free Trainer 5.0 College Collection

As the genesis of the college basketball season looms on the horizon, the folks on Bowerman Drive have made sneakers honoring three of college basketball’s legendary programs. Duke, Kentucky, and North Carolina will all have themed versions of the Nike Free Trainer 5.0. The UK version features white and metallic silver coloration for the midfoot and forefoot, with game Royal and deep Royal and “Kentucky Wildcats” lettering wrapping around the heel. Release Reminder: Air Jordan VIII ” Three Times A Charm”

The Air Jordan VIII returns this weekend in a new colorway that pays homage to the three teams, the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trailblazers and the Phoenix Suns, that the Chicago Bulls vanquished in the NBA Finals during their initial triple title runs. Nike says producing kicks at home could be a possibility

3D printing looks to be a manufacturing game changer and Nike is seeking to fashion this breakthrough into in home application. According to Nike, the company is engineering tech that give consumers the ability to produce custom sneakers from the comfort of their homes, or at a Nike store. Nike says that it could become a reality in the not to distant future.
