Albany State goes down 30-7 to Wingate in season opener

Courtesy of Dr. Earnest Brown , Albnay State Athletics In their highly anticipated season opener, the Albany State Golden Rams were defeated (30-7) by the Wingate Bulldogs on Friday evening at Irwin Belk Stadium in Wingate, North Carolina.  With the loss, the Golden Rams begin the Quinn Gray Era (0-1). The Golden Rams received the opening kickoff, but fumbled on their first offensive play of the game.  After recovering the fumble in the red zone, the Bulldogs took a (7-0) lead after Noah Bell scored a 2-yard run. The Bulldogs struck again…

Albany State was was scheduled to kick off its 2023 football season Thursday evening with a road matchup against the Bulldogs of Wingate University. This Pegasus 40 sports a white mesh upper with black Swooshes of varying styles on the lateral and medial sides. 2023 Move-in day for Albany State freshmen and transfers

The championships will be held May 25th-27th inside the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado with Colorado State University, Pueblo serving as host. A total of 754 participants, 377 men and 377 women, will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching a provisional standard established for each event.
