Update on Christion Abercrombie

Yesterday we brought you the awful injury that befell Tennessee State linebacker Christion Abercrombie. He passed out on the sideline in the first half of the Tigers’ game against Vanderbilt. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Cneter for emergency surgery and has been ICU since then. TSU just released an update on Christion’s condition on their Instagram. Albany State downs Miles 30-24

Saturday’s game between the Albany State Golden Rams and the Golden Bears of Miles College started at 8:05, a little more than an hour later than its scheduled 7p.m. kickoff time due to lightning and heavy rain. Once the game got going, Albany State, powered by their rushing attack, which racked up 303 yards on the evening, was able to defeat Miles 30-24. Tennessee State University linebacker Christion Abercrombie in ICU following head injury

Late in the first half in their game against Vanderbilt Saturday ,Tennessee State linebacker Christion Abercrombie suffered a head injury and collapsed on the sideline. He was taken off the field on a stretcher  He was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where underwent emergency surgery. Tennessee State falls short 31-27 at Vanderbilt

The Tennessee State Tigers traded blows with SEC opponent Vanderbilt for four quarters but ultimately came up short losing 31-27. The Vanderbilt offense came out shaky turning the ball over twice in the first quarter via two interceptions from VU quarterback Kyle Shurmur. TSU was unable to take advantage of the first turnover, as Antonio Zita missed a 46-yard field goal attempt. 2018 CIAA Football Championship makes its return to Salem Football Stadium

The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced it will host its 2018 Football Championship game Saturday, November 10 at Salem Stadium located in Salem-Roanoke, VA. The game pits the Conference’s Northernand Southern Division Champions against each other and  is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. EST kickoff. Albany State gets first win of the season

After being outscored 110-35 in their first three games and going winless, the Albany State Golden Rams headed to Lane Field to take on the Lane Dragons needing a win in the worst way.
