Dayannah Jean Baptiste is poised to make an impact on Fisk University’s volleyball team as she has committed to join the program for the upcoming season. Dayannah hails from Miramar, Florida, where she attended Archbishop McCarthy High School and was a two year varsity starter. She also has extensive experience with High Voltage Volleyball Academy, Wildfire Volleyball Academy, and has earned an Honorable Mention in the Sun Sentinel Volleyball for the 2022 season.
Dayannah is excited to join the Fisk community and is looking forward to the opportunities the university provides. “Fisk is an amazing University with a top Psychology program which will further my education as well as allow me to become a better student athlete and person. Fisk also allows you and gives you the option to eventually study abroad and get internships. Fisk has amazing benefits which can help me with future endeavors. Lastly, Fisk is the preeminent historically Black College in the United States which I am lucky to call my home for the next 4 years,” said Dayannah.
Head Coach Jessica Enderle also had great things to say about Dayannah. “Dayannah has such an incredibly high ceiling and we think she will really thrive in our smaller environment at Fisk. Her speed and quickness in the middle will be effective in our conference. She may be 5’11” but she is a kid who plays like she is 6’2″.
We are excited to welcome Dayannah to the Fisk University volleyball program and look forward to the energy, excitement, and talent she will bring to the court. With her commitment, Dayannah is sure to make a lasting impression as she continues to pursue her athletic and academic goals.
