Courtesy of the Milwaukee Bucks  The Milwaukee Bucks have completed their assistant coaching staff for the 2024-25 season by hiring Darvin Ham and Greg Buckner and retaining Dave Joerger, Rex Kalamian, Joe Prunty, Vin Baker and Pete Dominguez as assistant coaches on head coach Doc Rivers’ staff. Jack Herum has been promoted to assistant coach/head of player development while Jason Love and Spencer Rivers have been appointed for assistant coach/player development roles. Player Spotlight- A’ja Wilson & Angel Reese A’ja Wilson scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Las Vegas Aces 104-85 thumping of the Los Angeles Sparks. The 28 points pushed the two-time League MVP into the all-time leading scorer at 4,301 points, just ahead of Sophia Young-Malcolm’s 4300.  Wilson also leads the league in scoring, putting up 27.0 ppg.  Angel Reese scored 17 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in the Chicago Sky’s 84-71 loss to the Seattle Storm. DeMar DeRozan sent to Kings in three-team sign and trade

Free agent guard DeMar DeRozan was acquired by the Sacramento Kings in a three-team sign-and-trade, inking a 3-year, $74 deal.  The deal sends forward Harrison Barnes and an unprotected 2031 pick swap to the San Antonio Spurs, while the Chicago Bulls receive guard Chris Duarte, two-second draft picks and cash.  Barnes, 32, appeared in and started, all 82 games for the Kings, averaging 12.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per contest. DeMar DeRozan to Sacramento in the works?

In our recent video “Where DeMar DeRozan should NOT sign”, Sacramento was raised, albeit briefly as a potential landing spot for DeRozan. It appears that video may prove to be prophetic.  According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, DeRozan is headed to Sacramento to meet with the Kings’ brass.
