Alabama A&M football to have trio of games streamed on SWAC Digital Network

courtesy The Alabama A&M University football team will have three games streamed on the SWAC Digital Network, the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) announced during media day on Tuesday at the Sheraton-Birmingham Hotel.  Alabama A&M will play its first two home games on Sept. 7 and Sept. 14 against Kentucky State and Georgetown (Ky.), respectively. Kobe Bryant’s father, Joe “Jellybean” Bryant passes at age 69

Former NBA player Joe “Jellybean” Bryant, the father of Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant, has died. He was 69. An official cause of Bryant’s death was not announced as of Tuesday morning. La Salle University, where Bryant played and coached, said in a statement that Bryant “was a beloved member of the Explorer family and will be dearly missed.” Longtime Philadelphia-area basketball coach Fran Dunphy, who currently is the head coach at La Salle, told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Bryant recently suffered a massive stroke. This weekend, unfortunate news broke that Talladega College would have to discontinue its gymnastics program after just one season due to university financial health concerns. We were told by sources that the team received no prior notice, only finding out the day the decision was announced.  The Tornadoes’ gymnastics was not a mere can upon which to be beaten by every opponent they faced. Jacoby Jones, former Super Champ and Pro Bowl wideout deceased at 40

Courtesy of Kari Anderson, Yahoo Sports Former NFL wide receiver Jacoby Jones, a Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion with the Baltimore Ravens, died overnight on Saturday in his Houston-area home, according to multiple reports. Jones, who celebrated his birthday on July 11, had just turned 40. A cause of death is not immediately clear. Chicago Bulls are in East Group C for 2024 NBA Cup

The Bulls will compete in East Group C along with the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards.
