Kawhi Leonard withdraws from Team USA, Derrick White to be replacement

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has withdrawn from the US Olympic team,  USA Basketball announced Wednesday morning, per The Athletic’’s Shams Charania.  Leonard has been dealing with chronic soreness and inflammation for the past few months. Boston Celtics forward Derrick White has been selected to replace Leonard. White, 30, is a  versatile defender who is a more than capable three-point shooter.  White will accompany the team when they travel to Abu Dhabi, where they will practice and play this week.  The team is set to take on Canada in the USA…

Stephen Curry introduced the world to a never-before-seen colorway of what speculated to be his next signature sneaker.  The sneaker wqw spotted in two colorways-a navy navy-based look as well as that of white. Both colorways feature red lateral support rails, heel counters and pull tabs. USA gets win over Spain 95-81

The United States Senior Men’s National Team guaranteed themselves at least a shot at playing for a medal in a 95-81 victory over a tough and experienced Spanish National team. The US team had to overcome a low shooting start in the first half and a huge game form Ricky Rubio, who channeled his inner Oscar Schmidt in dropping 38 on the Americans.
