The Tennessee State men’s basketball team announces the signing of Learic Davis, a three-star prospect out of Milwaukee, WI.
The 6’7″ guard played at Milwaukee Bradley Tech under coach Shon Haralson, leading the Trojans to a 17-6 record and a conference championship. Davis averaged 24 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals per game.
“I picked TSU because when I visited it felt like home.” Davis said, “I had a fun experience when I was there, hanging with the guys on campus, touring the campus.”
Davis earned Milwaukee City Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference on his way to becoming a 2022 McDonalds All-American nominee. The high school prospect was named to WBCA’s First Team All-State, along with The Associated Press and Milwaukee Journal Sentential’s Second Team All-State.
“The first word that comes to my mind about Learic Davis is electric.” Head coach Brian “Penny” Collins said, “Learic will be one of the most exciting players to watch in the OVC. He has the ability to play multiple positions, his potential is through the roof.”
Davis had interest from Texas, USC, Marquette, Butler, Arizona State, along with offers from Texas A&M and Grambling State.
