Week 4 of Dr. Cavil’s Inside the HBCU Sports Lab saw little movement, with six of the seven teams retaining their positions from the previous week. 7. Delaware State Hornets (2-1, 0-0) Coach DeSean Jackson and Delaware State have been among the most intriguing stories in HBCU football. DSU defeated Bowie State 38-14 in their Saturday outing. Tennessee State falls to Alabama A&M in Legacy Series opener, 23-21

Tennessee State’s offense seemed to find its way in the second quarter, scoring 21 points and racking up 182 yards. Clark Atlanta scores late to get past Fort Valley State, 26-21

A 10-point quarter pushed the Panthers of Clark Atlanta past Fort Valley State, 26-21 in front of a national audience on ESPN2.  After a scoreless first quarter, Fort Valley State struck first when Wildcats quarterback Don Hudson connected with J.T. Pendleton on an 11-yard scoring toss, caping a 14-play, 75-yard drive that made the score 7-0.
