    Howard wide receiver Jequez Ezzard was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced today. Albany State gives Morehouse first loss of season 41-19

Albany State’s quarterback Kelias Williams had a career day. He completed 16 of 18 passes  for a career high 254 yards and three touchdowns as the Golden Rams defeated Morehouse 41-19, giving the Marron Tigers their first loss of the season. Albany State took a 3-0 lead on Gabriel Ballinas’ 47-yard field goal with 2:47 left in the first quarter. The Tuskegee Golden Tigers earned a hard fought victory at Wildcat Stadium 17-6. It was the home team Fort Valley that got the scoring going late in the opening quarter when Abisai Gutierrez knocked through a 33-yard field goal to put the Wildcats up 3-0. Miles College scored the go ahead touchdown with just three seconds remaining in the game to lift the Golden Bears to a 24-21 win and spoil Kentucky State’s homecoming. Just sixty seconds prior Kentucky State had taken its first lead of the game on quarterback Jules St. Ge’s elecrifying, tackle breaking 39-yard touchdown run, the third touchdown he accounted for on the day.
