Tuskegee held last scrimmage before season opener

From goldentigersports.com : The Tuskegee University football team hosted its final scrimmage ahead of the 2019 season opener at Alabama State in Montgomery, Ala. The match up from ASU Stadium will mark the third straight season TU faces the Hornets in a road opener. 2019 season tickets are still on sale. Ticket holders can now renew their seats as well. From goldentigersports : Two weeks before facing Alabama State in its season opening game in Montgomery, The Tuskegee University football team held its first scrimmage Saturday morning, working just over two hours at Cleve L. Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium. The Delta Devils had their first full inter squad scrimmage of the season this Saturday during the team’s practice. Benedict’s Traviontae Brown named to preseason Player of Year watch list

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Benedict College senior defensive back Traviontae Brown has been named to the preseason watch list for the Black College Football Hall of Fame Deacon Jones Trophy. The 48-player list is composed of 16 players from the MEAC, 13 from the SWAC, 10 from the CIAA, eight from the SIAC, and one from a non-HBCU conference.
