Tuskegee Football held first scrimmage of the season

From goldentigersports : Two weeks before facing Alabama State in its season opening game in Montgomery, The Tuskegee University football team held its first scrimmage Saturday morning, working just over two hours at Cleve L. Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium. The Golden Tigers were able to get a good evaluation of where they are after the first full week of camp. TU will be off on Sunday before returning to the practice field Monday afternoon. Mississippi Valley State has first scrimmage of the year

The Delta Devils had their first full inter squad scrimmage of the season this Saturday during the team’s practice. Head football coach Vincent Dancy seemed to be cautiously optimistic about what he saw on the field. Here is what he had to say post-practice : “Overall, it wasn’t bad. Benedict’s Traviontae Brown named to preseason Player of Year watch list

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Benedict College senior defensive back Traviontae Brown has been named to the preseason watch list for the Black College Football Hall of Fame Deacon Jones Trophy. The 48-player list is composed of 16 players from the MEAC, 13 from the SWAC, 10 from the CIAA, eight from the SIAC, and one from a non-HBCU conference.
