Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Protro coming in 2019

The Kobe 4 will join the Kobe 1 as part of the Protro series with this coming release. This Kobe 4 will be outfitted in white, orion blue and varsity blue- colors associated with the “Draft Day” color scheme. As of yet, no images have seen the light of day, but when it does we will have them here. These Kobe 4 Protros will release February 2019 at nike.com and select Nike Basketball locations. Tennessee State game at Hampton cancelled due to Hurricane Florence

The Tennessee State/Hampton game that was scheduled for September 15 can now be added to the list of sporting events that are postponed or outright canceled because of Hurricane Florence bearing down on the East Coast. This is the second consecutive week the Tigers have had a game canceled due to inclement weather; the Southern Heritage Classic against Jackson State last week was canceled due to lightning. Like that contest, this game will not be rescheduled.

Luol Deng expected to sign with Timberwolves this week

When Luol Deng and the Los Angeles Lakers reached a buyout agreement last week, he would undoubtedly draw interest from multiple teams. Not surprisingly one of those teams would be the Minnesota Timberwolves. According The New York Times Marc Stein, the “leaguewide expectation” is that Deng and Minnesota getting a deal done this week. Morehouse moved to 2-0 with their 42-20 defeat of Lane College. The first half was a back-and-forth affair that saw the lead swapped the lead four times. Benedict jumped on Johnson C. Smith early and never let the Golden Bulls into the game, scoring three quick touchdowns en route to a 42-14 victory this Saturday. After completing a 45-yard pass from quarterback Dominique Harris to Delon Freeman on their first offensive play, it would only take them three more plays to fins the end zone for the first time- a 6-yard touchdown pass to Jemine Yesin. Kentucky State falls to McKendree University 34-17

McKendree University quarterback Reese Metcalf threw a career-high four touchdown passes in the Bearcats’ 34-17 victory over Kentucky State. Metcalf and the Bearcat offense got right to work, scoring on its first two drives. They took the opening kickoff and went on a 7-play, 65-yard drive that ended in a 5-yard touchdown pass from Metcalf to Steven Towns, Jr. The extra point gave McKendree a 7-0. It was a rainy, windy day in Wilberforce, Ohio. The center of McPerson Stadium , grass was once present, became a muddy quagmire that bogged down both offenses. The conditions limited the teams to less than 300 yards of offense between them ( 155 for Clark-Atlanta and 100 for Central State) and only 14 first downs ( 10 for CAU and only 4 for CSU) in the game.
